DIY Christmas Candle Centerpiece

I love to decorate for the holidays and I love these candle centerpieces, there are many possibilities, color combinations and sizes. This year I am into white for some reason, so I decided to give it a try and make my own candle centerpiece.

You’ll be amazed at how easy and cheap it is to make. The best part is that it looks so fancy and it can cost less than $10!

DIY Christmas Candle Centerpiece

You can find the candles at a dollar store, the same as the platter. Look for the pine cones on the ground of your favorite park or neighborhood and you will only have to buy the spray paint and the craft paint which if you like to make lots pf projects at home you might just have them on hand like I did.

This can also look great with white spray paint or gold and a gold platter of a colorful platter, mix and match it to make it your own! Watch the story below for step-by-step photos:

What you’ll need

  • A big silver platter
  • 3 white candles
  • 6 to 8 silver ornaments
  • 10 or more pine cones in medium to small size
  • White craft paint
  • Silver spray paint
  • Foam brush

How to make it

  1. Set-up a drop cloth or newspaper and spray the pinecones, don’t worry if they are not fully covered, it wil be nice to leave a litle bit of the natural look in some areas, specially the insides that are harder to reach. Let them dry completely.
  2. Paint the outside of the pinecones with the white paint all around. Let them dry.
  3. Arrange the candles in the middle of the platter and add the pinecones and ornaments. Use hot glue to stick the ornaments securely if necessary.
