Creating a simple, yet attractive Christmas centerpiece is an easy task that only takes a few supplies, and a little creativity. One of my personal favorite centerpieces for the holiday season is the simple Christmas wreath candle holder. Basically, it takes the wreath from the area of the door and places it on the table that you want to draw attention to.
If you think this sounds too simple, I am not surprised. It IS simple! Just take a basic wreath, a few attractive decorations that compliment your theme, and stick it over a candle and place it in the center of the table of your choice! Here, you will learn all about creating this simple, yet attractive Christmas centerpiece!
The first thing that you will need to do in order to create your centerpiece is to gather a few essential materials. First, you will want to determine the size of candle that you want to place on the table, as well as the color of the candle. I think that red, relatively thick candles that are about six to eight inches in height are the most appropriate.
The bases of these candles are usually right around three inches. Once you have found the candle that you want to use, you should look for your wreath. You will want to make certain that the wreath fits snugly over the candle. Next, you will need some decorations to place around the wreath, and some ribbon in the color of your choice.
Now, you are ready to decorate the actual wreath. You should take a hot glue gun and the decorations and arrange them in the way that you deem most appropriate around the wreath. For an added touch, you may want to add some decorative lights that are battery operated. This can really enhance the overall “look and feel” of your Christmas centerpiece.
Once you have placed all the decorations around your wreath, it is important to allow them time to dry. Once they have been permitted to dry, you are ready to move on to the next step.
Now, it is time to add the final touch to your decorative masterpiece! Simply slide the candle in the center of the wreath! Once you have done this, you can then wrap a decorative ribbon around the center of it.
If you want to enhance the effect of this particular centerpiece, simply purchase a battery operated candle that changes colors! This can really make for an interesting Christmas centerpiece!
