If you asked 100 people to name their favorite holiday, the majority of them would give you a resounding “Ho! Ho! Ho!” And sure, Christmas is pretty awesome, but my favorite holiday has always been Thanksgiving.
I mean what’s not to love? First of all, we get an opportunity to give thanks for all of the blessings in our lives. But most importantly, we get the chance to wear our favorite elastic-waisted pants and stuff ourselves silly.
There’s truly nothing better than a Thanksgiving spread. And what sets the tone better for your holiday table than an elegant Thanksgiving centerpiece? There are so many creative ways to adorn your dinner table this November.
To make it easy for you, we’ve gathered a list of our 10 favorite epic and elegant Thanksgiving centerpieces. We invite you to gather some pumpkins, flowers, candles and Autumn leaves and wow your dinner guests with a centerpiece to remember.
Vivid Orange Persimmon: We would’ve never dreamt of combining fuzzy grey dusty miller leaves with bright orange fruit, but thank goodness Anne Sage shared this with us. It’s an epic combination. Plus, there’s the added bonus of being able to eat the fruit afterwards. Beautiful and functional.
Mini Pumpkins and Stems: Sometimes elegance is born of simplicity. We’re in love with what Chelsea at The Sweetest Occasion did with these cute little white pumpkins; dressed up with the tiniest seasonal flowers and leaves. Perfection!
Bringing the Outdoors In: Talk about epic. Jenna at SAS Interiors used a log pulled from her yard, a drill bit and some tea lights to make this Thanksgiving centerpiece in less than 5 minutes. Make this beauty and your dinner table will knock your guest’s socks off.
Wooden Candleholder: We’re complete suckers for centerpieces that use materials that can be adjusted from season to season. If you don’t feel like constructing a wooden box of your own, you can purchase this one from Vivaterra. Then fill it with Thanksgiving favorites like mini pumpkins, pinecones or cranberries and Voilà!
White Hydrangeas Table Scape: You know what’s great about white hydrangeas? Besides being exceptionally pretty, they can be mixed with any color or material to create a centerpiece for any occasion. Tidbits & Twine brilliantly blend hydrangeas with white pumpkins and wheat to create this epic and elegant Thanksgiving centerpiece.
Centerpiece with Pyracantha Berries: We love it when people create stunning tablescapes from material they find in their own backyards. Yvonne from Stone Gable did a great job of adding a pop of vibrant orange using the berries from a Pyracantha bush. It contrasts with the white vase beautifully.
Wooden Box Centerpiece: The Creative Mom leaves this wooden box (which she built herself by the way) out on her table all year long and just changes out the candles and decor as the seasons change. Right now it’s perfectly decorated with Autumn leaves for Thanksgiving.
Autumn Cornucopia: A cornucopia is such a traditional table decoration for your Thanksgiving feast. But fill it with some glittered pumpkins like Sweet Something Design did here and it’ll dress up your table in a sparkly, classy way. We also love their suggestion to put the entire thing on a serving tray so it can be easily moved about the house throughout the season.
Fall Wheat Centerpiece: This charming centerpiece by Dining Delight combines all our favorites of the season: wheat, grain, pumpkins and candlelight. What we love most about this piece is that it can be transported from the dinner table to an entry table or an end table and still look great.
Simply Adorned Candle Tray: Our favorite thing about this arrangement is that you can throw it together using stuff you already have around your home. A Pumpkin & A Princess reused an unfinished wooden tray from her sons birthday party, as the base for this centerpiece. The white candles do a brilliant job of offsetting the leaves and berries. Simply gorgeous.
